Black Lab Mix
The last time I saw my brother and sister in law and their dogs, I had a feeling that something was up with their black lab mix. She seemed like she was getting old and since she is part retriever, I had a feeling that she wouldn't live long. I found out today that when they woke up, their dog had died. I don't know if I have a sixth sense about these things or if it was because her back legs were starting to atrophy with old age. She wasn't that old. A sad, sad day.

Whistle
Every night I pretty much do the same thing before I go to bed. Tonight however, I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth like I always do and I heard a whistle. Something that you would whistle to get a dog's attention. It was late and there was no one up at this time and the whistle sounded like it was coming from the room I was in, not too loud. Makes me wonder if it was my imagination, a neighbor, or someone in the house. The neighbors were asleep as they have younger children, everyone in the house was asleep, but I know I heard it. Imagination or was someone trying to get my attention?

Dreams of the One?
I am currently in the middle of finals and I have been confused about my feelings so I thought it was appropriate to write a post.
So recently, a couple weeks ago I started to talk to this girl I met on one of the many dating websites. She seems like an interesting person, we have a lot in common. She has a great personality and we seem to get along, however we still haven't met since she is sick and I am in the middle of the mad rush before finals. We have been texting, talking on the phone and getting to know each other. She kind of seems too good to be true, of course this is hard to fathom since a year ago, I met a girl too good to be true that ended up disappearing. I think she was either crazy, or she was a catfish. Either way, I am pretty untrusting when it comes to meeting someone online, though my latest online crush seems genuine enough. Here lies the problem.
On Thanksgiving last week I received a text from a very old friend, well, sort of a friend, one of those girls that you have always had a crush on, yet we are more or less acquaintances. Well, other than the multitude of times that we almost dated. At least it seems to me and other that we have nearly dated more times than I dare to count. After her dating a complete loser, one of those guys using her, and abusing her, she disappeared for a while. Especially after the restraining order didn't seem to curb his harassment. She wished me a happy Thanksgiving and gave me her new cell phone. Of course this makes sense, as he would call constantly, even without her answering. Lets just say it was bad. Since last I talked to her about 3 months ago, I have contacted her a few times to see is she wanted to hangout, normal stuff for us as "friends" and I never got a response. Of course, that was because she had to change her cell. Either way, I replied with a Happy Thanksgiving and I guess you weren't ignoring me, to which she responded, No I wasn't ignoring you, you know that. I never did respond back. After all, she knew my cell and could have reached out at any point, yet she didn't. Hmm. Of course I would rather move on with my life rather than contemplating that we could work out after all these years. There has always been something about her that I have never been able to shake. So now I am confused and need to vent.

Meditation: Pizza Tonight
So today I decided to mow the lawn. It is getting late in the season and the leaves are dropping so I thought it would be a great thing to get done. I spend a few hours in the yard driving around in circles, unloading the clipping seemingly every 5 minutes. Needless to say that afterwards I was quite tired, especially after showering so I decided to show when I had finished. So I showered, dressed and laid on my bed. I hadn't meditated in a very long time so instead of trying to find something to watch on TV, I decided that I would meditate.

Shooting Stars
Today I have been feeling a bit out of sorts. One of those days when you question your choices and where your life is going. Will I find love, you know, questioning whether you are on the right path or not. I had just done few tarot card readings online and was feeling a bit better about where life was heading so I turned off the computer to head up to bed. I decided to have a smoke so I headed outside.

Who was that? - A disembodied voice
I just got in from taking the dog outside and I could have sworn I heard someone say something. I take out the dog between 11 and 11:30pm every night but this time it was a little odd. I was trying to get the dog to come to me and I heard someone say the dogs name. I went inside and asked my dad if he had said the dog's name out the window, he said he hadn't. I am pretty sure I heard someone say "Molly" a minute after I said Molly, or at least something with about the same intonation. I suppose you might suggest that it might have been a neighbor or something. We live quite far away from our neighbors and if they did say Molly, they would have had to yell it, which would have echoed. The majority of our neighbors also have younger children so they are generally in bed waaay before I was outside. Plus, the voice seemed like the voice came from somewhere right next to me.

Fleeing Energy
So this morning I was on the couch working on a portfolio for school. When I got up, there was a huge cracking of the house, not exactly where I was but close, much like if you run across the room, it was like something bolted out of the doorway when I stood up. I saw something out of the corner of the eye, what, I couldn't tell you, movement to say the least. When I looked, I saw the table cloth on the table waiver like it was in a breeze, yet all the windows were closed and it stopped almost immediately. Very strange experience. I have lived here for most of my life I can I can honestly say that whatever happened was not normal in the slightest. It felt like an energy fleeing, once I got up to go to the bathroom. I stop and wait and nothing else happened, well other than the goose bumps.

Fireworks
I was over at a friend's house, visiting with friends I hadn't seen in quite a long time. For me it was a good yet a bit stressful once the drunks decided to play with fireworks. Especially in a small clearing surrounding with quite a few tall trees. By the time I had a strange paranormal experience, most everyone had left and we were hanging out with the homeowners boyfriend outside by the fireplace thingy. He decided to put in all of the spend fireworks, which as most people realize, isn't too smart of an idea. Within a few seconds I got touched over my face to the point where I flinched. It was like a finger running over my face, from over one eyes, across the bridge of nose onto my cheek. I took that as a hint that it was indeed time to go. I rarely get touched and when I felt that finger go across my face, I knew it was time to go. I have no idea if he blew himself up or not, but a sign is a sign in my opinion.

Visitation: Grandfather
Normally paranormal things will happen to me when I am quite busy. This was an interesting story during finals. I was up building a model of a building i was designing upstairs without a TV or radio or anything on. I was very focused on what I was doing trying to get it done as quickly as possible. I heard what sounded like someone coming in and it almost sounded like someone was downstairs. I was thinking to myself, I wonder if that was Grampie. I heard in my head, "so why does it always have to be your other grandfather and not me in my head. I was a bit taken back and probably had a look on my face of complete confusion. So my grandfather that had died 15 years before. I then started to think of him for at least and hour or so, remembering the times that I had seen him. We were not close but I always had respect for him and wished that I could have known him better. He also died when I was on a term abroad in Europe so I have always had some mixed feelings about his passing. Definitely interesting for sure.

Visiting Boylston Street Boston
Today I took the time after a meeting at school to walk down Boylston Street in Boston since it is now opened after the bombing and I wanted to pay my respects. I hadn't had a chance until today. I will say that at the site of the second bombing, you could not tell what happened. I saw a young girl crying as I approached the place where it happened. Nearby a tree was decorated with a sign and flowers. As I passed I sent out love and thoughts to those affected by the bombings. At the end of the street I had to stop due to a red light and a few seconds later I felt someone jostle my backpack lightly. I wasn't walking, nor was I shifting my weight or anything. I was standing behind a couple at the light, so I peered around and there was absolutely no one close to me.
I walk around with my backpack all the time and it never feels like it is jostling around unless someone bumps me. I've only owned it for around 8 years, so I know how it behaves pretty well at this point. My first thought was of those that were killed by the bombing, the blue eyed girl, the young boy and the BU grad student. I'm not sure what it was about, but something odd did happen at that moment. I sent out good vibes and told whomever it was that they needed to cross over and sent them white light. I didn't get any other feelings at all, but I kept thinking about those that died during the bombing.
After that happened, I proceeded to go up to the site of the first bombing and was surprised that other than a window being replaced and a building boarded up saying it would reopen soon, nothing else happened out of the ordinary. I simply wanted to pay my respects and I was a bit curious about how they were going to replace the windows in one of the damaged buildings, being an architecture student, it makes a bit of sense. A little exercise didn't hurt either.

Premonition: Boston Bombing
Today was a sad day. Two bombs exploded along the Boston Marathon killing 3 and injuring over a hundred. Many had to have their legs amputated, bringing the Iraq and Afghanistan wars to our door. I hoped that it would never happen but I have been waiting for Boston to be the target of terrorists. I have spend a lot of my time in the past decade in Boston and I have always had a feeling that Boston would eventually get bombed. Today I was not happy that my feeling would indeed be true. I feel a bit guilty that I have had these thoughts and feel terrible for those affected by this cowardly act, hurting the innocent and destroying lives. Even taking the life of an 8 year old boy.

Black Mass
Not too much has been happening to me recently having to do with the paranormal. I do have one slightly interesting story for you.
I was outside with the dog at about 3 in the afternoon when I noticed a black blob up the hill on my neighbor's driveway. At first I thought it might have been a floater, you know, one of those black things you see in your eyes which are actually dead cells floating in the eyes fluid. I then realized that it wasn't a floater at all, it wasn't that defined (I am pretty blind so I can almost focus on them even though they are in my eye) it was rather misty and once I noticed it, it disappeared, I can almost say I saw it shoot off.
What was it? I'm not sure. I do know it wasn't a floater and something was there. Since I have had an experience with a dark entity before I said a few prayers to protect myself and the area. I felt as though it was something, as to what I wasn't too sure. I didn't feel threatened, though I know something was there, if only for a second.

Was it just me?
While at at friend's house on New Year's Eve I noticed a few things that were going on that didn't seem natural, rather paranormal. I was sitting on the couch and got a cool breeze and felt as if something came from behind me. I was in the living room with my back about 7 feet from a slider out to the deck. The door wasn't open and I was alone in the room so it is unlikely that it was a draft. It caught my attention and I believe that it was something come in to me. For the rest of the night I would either feel something behind me or see something out of the corner of my eye.
I asked a friend that was also there if he noticed anything and he said he did keep seeing things our of the corner of his eye too. I pretty much stayed put and he kept wondering around so I guess it was good to know that it wasn't just me. I felt as if it was a member of someone's family that was there. A deceased family member of a friend. I didn't bring it up so I am uncertain if there was anyone in particular that it might have been. I didn't feel threatened but I thought I should write about it anyway since something definitely happened, though quite subtle.

What is that Noise?
Today was quite a stressful day. I stayed up all night trying to finish up projects for my master's program and had to drive into Boston to drop off some materials for a design competition. Since I left to come back home during rush hour, it took me sometime to get home so I called my best friend. We hadn't really talked all that much because of finals. When I got home, it looked like my parents had already left to go over to a friend's house for dinner. I ended up coming in and playing with the dog while on the phone.
After a few minutes I kept hearing what sounded like a conversation or perhaps a TV on upstairs. At first I thought I was imagining it. Then I realized that I really was hearing something going on somewhere. I live in the woods, so generally when on hears talking, it usually isn't anyone on the street or anything. So while I was talking to my friend I went upstairs and naturally, there was no one home. Throughout the evening I have been seeing what look like orbs out of the corner of my eye. I'm not sure whom might be visiting, I just wished they would say hello. That just said, one danced in front of my eyes just now, about a foot away from my face. Either I need to sleep (which I don't feel tired) or someone just tried to get my attention.

The Man in the Backyard
After an all-niter working on studio, I smelled the coffee my dad was making before he went to work and I went to the bathroom to relieve myself before I went downstairs. It was a beautiful spring day with the sun shining bright. I think the leaves were just starting to come out. I started to pee and normally I will glance out of the window to see what is going on in our backyard as I go. We have a pool, a fence, some lawn and then we are surrounded by woods. It is quite peaceful place. As I glanced outside I saw a man and as soon as my eyes adjusted to the sunlight, he disappeared.
I saw this man vividly, if only for a second or two. He was of average height, probably about 5 foot 8 inches or so, with white hair and a receding hairline. He looked like he was older, probably between 60 and 70. He was slightly over weight, wearing a white collared short-sleeve shirt, khakis, and dress shoes. He was on the other side of our fence leaning over the fence looking at our pool in drastic need of repair. The liner was torn, it didn't hold water and the concrete was falling apart. During that split second I saw him grab the top of the fence and lean over and look. At first I thought it was a guy on a walk before work, then disappeared.
The pool had been falling apart for years and my dad had always said he was going to fix it. I never believed him. It wasn't used for a year since it no longer held water and not even closed the previous winter. Within the next few weeks he started calling people to get quotes on the pool. To my amazement he got the pool fixed that summer, added a heater, had a new deck installed and it is truly an amazing pool now.
Was this person telling me of things to come? I don't know. He did not look like a deceased relative to me. He was not my mom or dad's father, he rather looked like our neighbor's late husband, though he was looking down so I didn't get that good of a look and he died around 15 years ago. Perhaps he was my great grandfather at a younger age? I do not know who it was but I take that experience as a sign of what was to come. A bit after the pool was finish, my dad did the same gesture while on the other side of the fence. Was this to solidify the experience? It definitely wasn't my dad I saw that morning. An interesting experience for sure.
