Lay Off

Peter
I know I haven't been writing much of anything here. Quite frankly it is because not much has happened lately at all. So last Friday I got laid off and after I heard the news I grabbed a few books of my desk that were mine and went to the car to have a smoke. On the way out the door I ended up seeing an older guy out of the corner of my eye down at an intersection between corridors. When I glanced over there was no one there. His face/statue still remained in my memory.

Black Mass

Not too much has been happening to me recently having to do with the paranormal. I do have one slightly interesting story for you.

I was outside with the dog at about 3 in the afternoon when I noticed a black blob up the hill on my neighbor's driveway. At first I thought it might have been a floater, you know, one of those black things you see in your eyes which are actually dead cells floating in the eyes fluid. I then realized that it wasn't a floater at all, it wasn't that defined (I am pretty blind so I can almost focus on them even though they are in my eye) it was rather misty and once I noticed it, it disappeared, I can almost say I saw it shoot off.

What was it? I'm not sure. I do know it wasn't a floater and something was there. Since I have had an experience with a dark entity before I said a few prayers to protect myself and the area. I felt as though it was something, as to what I wasn't too sure. I didn't feel threatened, though I know something was there, if only for a second.

Was it just me?

While at at friend's house on New Year's Eve I noticed a few things that were going on that didn't seem natural, rather paranormal. I was sitting on the couch and got a cool breeze and felt as if something came from behind me. I was in the living room with my back about 7 feet from a slider out to the deck. The door wasn't open and I was alone in the room so it is unlikely that it was a draft. It caught my attention and I believe that it was something come in to me. For the rest of the night I would either feel something behind me or see something out of the corner of my eye.

I asked a friend that was also there if he noticed anything and he said he did keep seeing things our of the corner of his eye too. I pretty much stayed put and he kept wondering around so I guess it was good to know that it wasn't just me. I felt as if it was a member of someone's family that was there. A deceased family member of a friend. I didn't bring it up so I am uncertain if there was anyone in particular that it might have been. I didn't feel threatened but I thought I should write about it anyway since something definitely happened, though quite subtle.

The Man in the Backyard

After an all-niter working on studio, I smelled the coffee my dad was making before he went to work and I went to the bathroom to relieve myself before I went downstairs. It was a beautiful spring day with the sun shining bright. I think the leaves were just starting to come out. I started to pee and normally I will glance out of the window to see what is going on in our backyard as I go. We have a pool, a fence, some lawn and then we are surrounded by woods. It is quite peaceful place. As I glanced outside I saw a man and as soon as my eyes adjusted to the sunlight, he disappeared.

I saw this man vividly, if only for a second or two. He was of average height, probably about 5 foot 8 inches or so, with white hair and a receding hairline. He looked like he was older, probably between 60 and 70. He was slightly over weight, wearing a white collared short-sleeve shirt, khakis, and dress shoes. He was on the other side of our fence leaning over the fence looking at our pool in drastic need of repair. The liner was torn, it didn't hold water and the concrete was falling apart. During that split second I saw him grab the top of the fence and lean over and look. At first I thought it was  a guy on a walk before work, then disappeared.

The pool had been falling apart for years and my dad had always said he was going to fix it. I never believed him. It wasn't used for a year since it no longer held water and not even closed the previous winter. Within the next few weeks he started calling people to get quotes on the pool. To my amazement he got the pool fixed that summer, added a heater, had a new deck installed and it is truly an amazing pool now.

Was this person telling me of things to come? I don't know. He did not look like a deceased relative to me. He was not my mom or dad's father, he rather looked like our neighbor's late husband, though he was looking down so I didn't get that good of a look and he died around 15 years ago. Perhaps he was my great grandfather at a younger age? I do not know who it was but I take that experience as a sign of what was to come. A bit after the pool was finish, my dad did the same gesture while on the other side of the fence. Was this to solidify the experience? It definitely wasn't my dad I saw that morning. An interesting experience for sure.

Paranormal: "There is Something Coming..."

Dramatization
Late one night, probably around 3 or 4 on a December morning during finals, I went outside for a short break and a smoke. It was cold, no snow and fairly dark with the only illumination coming from the street light off in the distance. I had no idea something bizarre was in store for me that night.

Paranormal: The Dark Entity

Initial Meeting

For years now I have been doing yoga at night followed by meditation before I go to bed.  I have found that it helps me relax and also helps me sleep. I have also heard from a Salem psychic that yoga and meditation can help one open up to the spirit world and increase your sensitivity to it, which was definitely the case for me. At the time my encounter with a dark entity, I was having experiences a few times a week at the least.
